Austin PAL hosts 500+ community members at free soccer event

Austin PAL hosted a trick or treat soccer tournament on Oct. 28th 2017 at Onion Creek Soccer complex. The event drew in hundreds of elementary kids as well as their parents. Austin Police Officer Paula Aguilar organizes free youth soccer for elementary aged kids and forms teams for each school. The kids had a chance to compete against each other during friendly matches.  Kids were encouraged to wear a costume, trick or treat for candy, and have fun. Jonathon Montoya is an 18 year old senior at Del Valle High school, he participates in Austin PAL boxing. Jonathon has been with PAL since fall of 2015 and he is well respected by the Officers, coaches and his fellow teammates. Jonathon is regarded by the boxing coaches as a true leader in the gym and in the community. Jonathon takes every kid that enters the gym under his wings and works with them.
